I'm not a big fan of the M42s, too tall and elongated for my tastes. Still, you've got to have respect for where it all started. Pretty incredible that these still survive in any condition, considering how old they are.

Funny.....I have since a lot of years two Birds that fit's....one in nearly the same condition as this hemet.
On these 42er Helmets a mostly all missing when they are a find, but never the Bird......
