        Please help is needed

I really need help on this one as I have to let the seller know later today if I am going to purchase it or not. I know the photos are not the best but they are all I have? Any opinions good or bad?

        Thank you

            chin strap

            Thank you
The seller did state that he believes that the strap is a replacement.
            More opinions welcome

If the chinstrap and cockades are reproductions I would pass at $450.00. You can easily find similar enlisted M15's without these parts in the $300.00 range. If the chinstrap and cockades were original $450.00 would be a fair price for this one.

Actually the Kockarden are original, the chin strap is made of a bit of leather from the tack room, there was no artificial aging, that is the way it was, the hardware is the standard reproduction from the 60s. If the seller wants $450 fior this helmet, I would gladly give it to him, as I used to own it,

                    Thank you guys

Thank you to all the forum members who gave their opinions on this lid. I value your knowledge and help. If purchase it I will probably keep it for my own collection as I only own one Pickelhaube.

                    Anymore opinions?

Hi Steve, If Gus says it's a good deal, then it must be true! It's a nice piece in above average condition. The original kokarden are a plus, the reproduction chinstrap a minus, but at least it's nicely done with old leather. It's weird, isn't it, that they were still making these things in 1917. I think many of these very late manufacture pickelhaubes ended up not being issued. It's not a great deal, but within current market price range.
                        Cheers,
                        Mark D.
