    Pickelhaube from the attic

    I got this one today. I got a call from friend of mine, that he got this helmet from the guy who was cleaning the attic and found this one there. That is why the damage on the liner. Here at Florida heat and humidity is very high.

    I do not know to much about them, so any help would be appreciated.

            It would appear to be an ersatz felt Wurttemberg pickelhaube, missing the chinstrap, cockarden and liner of course.

            The line Furchtlos und Trew translates to Fearless and Loyal.

              Being in the attic, I am very surprised that the moths have not gotten to the felt material of the body of the helmet. Besides missing a few things, it looks remarkably good.
