    Prussian Telegraphers Buckle

    Hey everyone
Received this today and are hoping someone can give me a thumbs up on it.
It looks and feels genuine, but I have never had one in hand before.
It has seen alot of use by the looks (very worn and a little scarred and slightly dinged up)
Also if anyone has a photo of the wire spool that attaches to the buckle, that would be good to see as well,I can not find a photo with the spool attached anywhere.
Anyway all comments welcomed and thanks in advance.

It looks nearly identical to a well worn one in my collection. It has similar bend "ripples" on the top and bottom edges on either side of the central medallion. The only difference is that mine has the prongs welded on to the cross piece. I think yours is good.

I am attaching a photo of my buckle with Aufspuler and Kabeltrommel attached.

Awesome Chip, thanks for your comments and for the excellent photo,is there any chance we can see a better photo of the buckle and maybe a panned out photo of the Aufspuler and Kabeltrommel,so we can see where the leather straps attach.
Thanks again,I love it,the buckles are rare enough,I bet the Kabeltrommel is even rarer.
        Much appreciated

Thanks for that pic Chip. I was wondering how the Telegrapher's buckle worked.

            Spike,

The wire drums are not so rare, but the frame is. I got these pieces separately, so I was lucky to find a drum with the original telephone wire still on it. The neck support strap loops around the neck and has a roller buckle for adjustment. It attaches to the frame by looping through a hole and then being riveted back to itself with two domed rivets on each side.

I don't have any other photos of my buckle handy, but I will try to take some this weekend.
