    1915 "Transitional" Feldgrau

Lieutenant's 1915 Feldgrau of the 77th Hanoverian Regiment.

Was meant to replace the 1910 Feldgrau but still proved to be complicated and expensive, so shortly after transitioning to these, they quickly came out with the more famous 1915 Feldbluse. This variation of feldgrau is estimated to have been in production for approximately 6 months to a year.

She shows some mothing, but in general she's in pretty great shape. Opinions on this Tunic?

    Thanks!

The bottom button appears not to match, but I assure that it does... the paint has been worn away about 90% leaving a rough finish... I imagine this was due to the rubbing against a belt bucket...?

      Any opinions on this tunic??

        Beautiful private purchase Tunic Jeremy.
I don't think its a designate Tranny though, judging by retaining the cuff piping, could of been made anytime after 15 imo.
Interested what the other Gents say with more experiance.

        Thank you for showing

I tend to agree with Eric. This tunic could have been made anytime from 1915 on. Most officer's did not care much for the Bluse, as evidenced in period photos. Certainly, the earlier patterns were more popular for walking-out-dress occasions. This style tunic continued to be produced right up until the end (IMHO).

Thanks John! Wouldn't it look good with a camo M16????

Haha... actually... I'm trying to get a haube for this one. Unfortunately... being a 77th veteran I have to get a wappen with the "WATERLOO" bandeau to match correctly.... and those are niether easy to find, nor pleasant on the bank account. But soon enough!!

                Cheers,
