    picked this up today but know very little on these ww1 buckles, its grey in colour and has 1915 plus maker stamped on leather tab, any opinions welcome rgds Dave

              This must be a leather maker unknown to me. I went through my list of 1499 makers marks and could not locate this one. All I can make out is "Gebrüder..." and "...dorf". Based on that there were no matches. Can you see the marking any more clearly than in your photos?

                          Well, the location is Roisdorf. But still no firm name. The last name might be Thomas.

                            I thnk you got it, I have been trying to figure out the first two letters in the last name, and I am sure you are correct, too bad, if you could have convinced sscrooge it was a fake, I might have been able to pick it up cheap

                              Yes, I think it's "Gebruder Thomas", "Roisdorf".

                              Is that one on your list Chip?
