Can any of you ID the Wappen on this helmet? The photo is dated 1909, the medal is for Southwest Africa Service.

As I said on another forum, he's some type of policeman (and military veteran). It's a bit hard to see the wappen, but I believe it is from Nürnberg and since the photo was taken at a studio in the city, it's possible I may actually be correct.

Whatever it is, it is almost certainly civil; that is not a military wappen.
