IS this an imperial backpack and mess tin?

Are they imperial? Seems too good to be true.

I asked that it be put on hold pending more investigation.

W, i would say the mess tin that is dated is the only geniune period WW1 item out the 3, what date is stamped on the mess kit?

    Regards Scott.

Iam with Scott, I dont go for ally kits that arent dated. Even WW1 style.
The pack is not WW1. Great for gigs. Repops are expensive.

I don't know the date I asked but no reply yet. Is the backpack 30's or WWII issue?

The seller clearly states that he thinks the rucksack is not WWI, that is, he IDs it as "HJ" Meaning Hitler youth.

I never think the (Item) ? with question mark is ever clear. It is also called a LOT. TO me un clear. Seems only the one mess tin is dated WWI but I;d have to see it to believe it. The other Items shoud be in a TR E stand forum.

I think I'll pass on this lot.

Hello I have a WWI backpack and I have owned a few WWII packs over the year. As I remember everyone i've owned has been stamped with a company name and year. Is this normal or is there alot of unmarked ones?

                  Well yes
Most were maker dated some are just maker marked. My early M95 is maker marked but only ink stamped dated, Reg.marked on the inside. Although the shoulder straps are stamp dated 1912 and maker marked! pheeww!

I think one would find that most if not all unmarked ones are post WWI, the Germans were sticklers for marking every thing they produced for the military.
