Apologies for not being able to link, but Ebay item # 170601518253, purports to be an authentic officer's schirmmutze for IR 92. Looks new to me, and the peak looks too small. If it's authentic ,it's the buy of the year. Any opinions? Thanks.

I don't think it's new, but it looks to be an enlisted quality cap. The maker's location (Saarlouis) is no where near Braunschweig. I believe it is just a simple infantry cap that someone has "embellished".
