Helmet and brow plate

This is not being offered cheap but is for sale.

Strap looks to have been replaced. Has a mark but nothing I recognize. Has a high rounded top as do the repros. Paint looks really old. Helmet is a no brainer, I don't need it but think it's part of the deal.

What do you guys think?

If that plate is a repro its the best one I have seen, as you say the paint alone looks so right.

Its not my area of expertise, so I look fwd to the comments from those who know this field.

If its not right, I would be suprised.

Brow plate is made by Lindenberg, original and so is the finish.
Strap is a copy.

Chuck I am going to sleep on it for two nights. Seller wants 2,500 if I don't take it.
It was not on a site or an auction so it's not going anywhere. I saw it in a photo of something else being sold and asked about it.

Seller is 68 years old and stated everything is for sale at the right price. Take a look at his war room!

It's really some kind of small world as I saw that Grabenpanzer set sell on Ebay over two years ago to a Ebayer by the name or Oddrod. His name was rod. I got two helmets from him. He at some point must have sold off that trench armor. Post war painted but still very nice.

Oh ya Chuck! If you buy this thing you might need to sell a helmet to recoup! Dont forget me bro!

I remember Rod very well... If I remember correctly he was from down south. He was selling a lot of really good repaints as original. He disappeared real quick when collectors started turning up the heat on his @#$@@## ass. Hopefully, you didn't get stuck with any of his crap.

I can't see paying $2500.00 for the battle damaged shell and/or brow plate. You already know if I've got something you're interested in I'll treat you right... as well as my friends/fellow collectors on this Forum.

I don't think the price is out of line Chuck. I've seen em go for more. Yes odd rod sold me two helmets. One I knew was a repaint. But he would try and imply they were possibly original in his sales adds.

He sold me this one too but at a fair price. He said he thought it was good but it might have been his real opinion.

It's not original paint but I did not pay too much for it. At the time even if I knew it was not there is a story on the helmet and a reason I'd not have sent it back anyway.

Nice brow plate . Check out the camo Machine gun , never seen that before . Rob
