    Quist 66

    Gents
This landed on my doorstep. It reminds me of the other Quist I posted.

      Thanks
Its not like my other Quist,s. Has that sharp cut and tight bead around the rim.
Iam wondering if these are early before they perfected manufacturing. The crown is stamped B775.
      Here,s the old link:

Interesting feature. I've only had the opportunity to handle a very small number of Quist helmets and it's the only maker left of which I haven't owned an example of. The helmet in the link looks like it has an even pointier transition than yours on the exterior shots.

What are your thoughts on the liner pads in your new helmet?

i think it's an anomaly, or maybe her friend Emily
just took a look at my Q66 camo and one side has a smooth/curved transition while the other has a little kink, much less pronounced than yours...

Good question Hans. Those liner pads look like they have been stuffed behind the liner band.

The liner,s fine. The rear rivet was missing. I had one that matches perfect. Its maker stamped and dated 1917 missing the pillows. I,ve seen those extra holes before on the pads, cant explain it at this time. I have the impression the whole helmet was subjected to excessive heat at some point.
Sorry guy,s I should of given a full description. It,s that edge, I,ve only seen it once before on that other lid (which is still for sale on a dealer site for $2100!!!)
