Turkish Buckle

I've had this buckle for about 12 years,when I got the buckle I didn't want the ring,but as time has gone on and my attitude towards collecting has changed,I'm really glad I do have the ring.
The buckle and ring came from a son of the Vet who took them off the fallen Turk.
Has anyone seen a ring like this,it is definitely hand made,possibly a piece of trent art ?.
What does everyone think,thanks

Very interesting, I have never seen one, I am sure someone will know the significance of the ring, its look the type that will have some kind of meaning.
