Here,s three of mine showing different straps. The can in the middle has had the cage removed so the gummi with filter attached fits in the can. Remember when they were $25-30!!!

        Eric,

Nice, I like those Gummimaske cans!

        I have 4 Ledermaske, but no Gummi......yet....

I know what you mean about the prices, but I do not think they will get and cheaper.

        Brad

PS. I hope we did not kill this thread too

The interesting thing about the canister that started this thread is that it's stamped F.C.B. Fulda which stands for F.C. Bellinger, the helmet maker. I think it's the first time I've seen this maker on a gas mask can. I have a GM17 canister stamped SH which might be Siemens & Halske, also a helmet maker. Has anyone ever seen a Bing stamped canister?

Ok, got a few outdoor daytime (somewhat daytime, by the time I got home and ran with it outside, it was 4 pm and the sun is already almost down) shots of the original gasmask can's strap, for those that wanted to see it with different lighting.

Once again., sorry about the quality, it's not high end studio work, but I'm working with what I can here!

                        Cheers mates.

And, another shot of the name on the can and the Buckle. As you can see, the strap is redder by the parts close to the can that were less touched by hand. the ends that were carries are almost dark brown.

                          Cheers mates.
