Buckle Question

I've had this old buckle for years and was wondering if it was WWI or WWII. It is unmarked and small 1 1/4 X 1 1/2 inches.

THe buckle looks gold so it would be Reichsmarine or if it is silver it's Reishsheer. This would be Wiemar era. Post WWI pre Nazi. Kirby

Did they had these Roller buckles at that time in germany. 1 1/4 inch sounds like a webbing trouser Belt.

They also made some buckles during the WW1 era that used a roller pin on them. I don't have one in my collection yet, but I've seen images of them, and know they exist. I'll have to dig up a pic if I can find an image of one to post. The Imperial German roller pin examples are different than this style you've shown.

The roller pin buckles during imperial times were all privat purchase items, which even exist in steel versions.

The other one is a Reichmarine buckle for private use.
