    The Holy Grail...

    found

she's coming to me, in a dream, from across the pond... in a size 66, no less!

A beautifully souvenired square dip. I've only ever seen one or two others in size 66 come up for sale. Post more pictures of the liner pads when you get it though. Were they advertised as being repro?

Too bad she's cracked and I also think the pads look funny. Didn't the square dip have an irregular liner type anyway?

There are 3 different variants of prototype or pre-production liners found in square dips that I'm aware of. I've also seen a few with regular production model liners.

Shown here, top picture, is the most commonly seen of the pre-producition type pads. Beneath it is a regular production model pad shown for comparison.

...continued, here the reverse side of the pad. Pre-production top picture, production model below it. Note the differences between the ties as well as in the cloth pouch attachment to the leather pad.

The OP should be posting photos once he gets it in hand?

sorry about the temporarily missing pics in the original post, i mixed up the image folders. here it is in hand, notice the VI and a 66 below it visible on the inside rear skirt, perhaps a depot demarcation...
