Tonight I discovered that Tony Schnurr's Doxie Kaiser passed away on October 12th. For those of you who don't know Kaiser, he was the mascot and model for Tony's Kaisers bunker web site. He was a great little doxie and posed for Tony wearing various hats and helmets. Having shared the pleasure of having a doxie as a friend, Kaisers memory will live on and continue to bring smiles to those who visit Tony's wonderful web site-- www.kaisersbunker.com RIP Kaiser... I'm very sorry to hear this as well. Hopefully it's only a temporary separation; as the others said he'll be waiting. Heaven without dogs doesn't seem possible. I'll know I've made it when a frozen, rock hard soccer ball comes sailing into my ankles at 100 mph followed by an 80 pound black and brown blur piling into my chest at the same speed a split second later.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. It has taken me this long to be able to write his memorial. One of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. A suitable ending for a very difficult year.
Please click on the memorial link on my web page, or use this link: Goodbye my Little Friend.
Now it is done. Now I will try to get back to living again, which for me, is collecting; they are one and the same. But my little Noodle will always be in the back of my mind. Every moment of every day he is with me. Thank you again for thinking of me in my time of loss. Tony http://www.kaisersbunker.com/

Kaiser was an adorable little dog, especially in the picklehauben, muetzen, and this brodie helmet you made him. I am sure he brought you much happiness in life and supported your hobby! 13 years old.. it's a darn shame dogs can't live as long as us, but when we move on from this earth, they will be waiting for us, panting and wagging their tails all the while!
God bless you Tony, your family, and your dear little Kaiser.

Tony,
That has to be the sweetest and most touching thing I have ever read about one of "Man's Best Friends".
You really set up a good site about good ole Kaiser. I really enjoyed looking through the phases of your life together. I am a huge dog fan, but since I live alone and cannot bring my pup to work with me I have decided not to get one for now because I cannot see leaving the poor fellow at home alone everyday.
I too had a major loss of the girl I have been with for the last 12 years last September, so I understand what you are feeling.
Your memorial to Kaiser is excellent and has by far exceeded anything I have seen so far regarding paying respect to one of our lost 4-legged buddies. In that sense, your Kaiser will live on forever.
Thanks for adding this memorial to Kaiser to your web site! It really adds a special touch to one of the best web sites on the internet.

Tony,
Thank you for sharing the beautiful memorial. I am crying now as I think of my Buddy, who passed with his hand in mine 7 years ago. I think of him daily and dream of him constantly...the long runs in the woods when we were kids, lying on the carpet snoozing together in the sun as he got older.
My memories bring smiles now and fewer tears.
My heart goes out to you...
Steve
