Unknown tunic

had this on the Police tunic, but they don't think it is police, but military, could it be?

This is an officer's Litewka, but I cannot identify the regiment, the green and red reminds me of jager or landjagerkorps

The board you have shown is the correct one for this Litewka. The possibilities, I believe, are Jäger zu Pferde Rgt.Nr.2 or the an officer of the Nachrichtentruppen, whose colors became green and red in 1918. The JzP R.2 had silver buttons, but I am not sure about the Nachrichtentruppen. Perhaps since they came from the Verkehrstruppen, who had silver buttons, they retained that feature.

I recently bought an officers litewka. Fieldgray cloth with a somewhat darker colour collar. Smooth silver buttons. Seller stated it was for some sort of mounted unit, he even mentioned what unit but maybe I´m getting too old, I forgot what unit......

I´m pretty new to collecting WWI clothing and I must confess I find the large variety of waffenfarbe/piping colours confusing. Looking through the forum I stumbled upon this thread. My tunic has collartabs and shoulder boards with similar green colour as on the tunic of this thread. No extra piping on tabs or straps though, just the green. V:s on officers braiding are black so I guess preussia. Could this be Jäger zu Pferde?

Another detail on my tunic: Cuff- and front-piping is red!? (no red piping along collar edge though.)

Any help is greatly appreciated.
