These may well be originals, but IMO they raise many more questions and contradictions than than the so-called "m-18" breeches discussed in detail on this forum several months ago.

These are representing ISSUE/CONTRACT breeches with the ink sizing and depot stamp....BUT they show a number of differences with so-called textbook issue breeches of this period. The ankle extensions may well have been period added....so I can not rule them out due to that difference. The rear pocket was a big question for some people on the other pair (not me) and this is styled very different than any that i have ever seen on an issue pair of German trousers from any period...was this also added? Markings do not boll me over...maybe ok but I am not convinced. Fabric is very fine for 1917 and the stone gray was being phased by then and generally during 1916....but possible I guess. There are some other things as well.

Maybe ok, but I would have to handle them

              Hello,

These pants are original, but as it is marked in the announcement, it was modified! The bottom of the pants is redone as well as the pocket on buttocks by an officer certainly, it is more a salesman than by a farmer or the reichswheer...

But I am on 100 % that these pants are original, and that it was very German at first it was maybe a straight pants or a breeches?

              regards
              david
