    Try taking new photos with a plain background with your camera further away and use the macro fuction , then we might be able to see the badge in focus . Rob

      What? I think the Photo is good enough to say what it is! There´s no need to see Details for an Authentification Proof. I just want to know what kind of Shoulder Board Insignia it is, therefore the Pics are really good as they are

        ..er würde es mit schärferem Foto auch nicht wissen.........it is Saxony Infanterie Rgt. No.106 "Prinz Georg" in Leipzig. Officier, and on pic it make a handstand. Turnaround and it's ok. Crown is missing.

          That fits; The Officer was a Saxony Flügeladjutant.
          I have also some Crowns inherited; is one of them the matching one to the Insignia?

            I suppose it is the 106th, though not a very good casting. This is more what the regimental Namenszug should look like, with the corresponding crown.

              ....different makers of crowns, you can take the crown that fit's in size and condition.
