I saw that too. But it reminds me of recent controversial helmets from The Steel Helmet.
A repaint and rebuild job IMO but nicely done.

I think it looks legit and the poor lighting makes it look dodgy, as for the chinstrap thats a different matter . Could be a real untouched sleeper . RobGod please take justin bieber and gave us dio backComment

I think that could be the case too Robb, one of those helmets that you really just have to see in person probably. The Chin strap does look too good but it's also pretty thin un like repros. Whole helmet could be good.Originally posted by ROBB View Post

I looked at the auction and passed on this one. The only original feld-grau paint to be found is on the inside. The outside is a poor repaint. Looks like one of the liner pins has been rebent, and I suspect the chinstrap is a repo. You may wake up to find out that your sleeper was really a nightmare.Originally posted by 704hoss55 View Post
