I'm really sure this seller knows what he sells, but he had never used an exact description in his cap auctions. Unusual, I think. From the photos the cap looks good. That is the reason why a lot of people placed a bid. But I noticed from time to time he had faked SS caps in a really good quality in his auctions too. Those caps had similar simple auction descriptions....Deutsche Schirmmütze, Schwarze Schirmmütze etc.

Always better to buy the cap directly from the Leibhusar who had worn the cap.

You say impossible? It can be possible when you can find this young Husaren!!!! I think he is 100 years or older today.

                    Correct!

PS: But sometimes you can find a later added Wehrmacht Panzer skull on Imperial caps.

This type of skull (Assmannkatalog) was also used on Wehrwolf collar tabs.

                      So................

I wonder if it was originally made for kindermuetze, with stocks later being used for the Ww collars???

I don't think it was a special kind of skull for caps of children only. An insignia which was used by all, that were interested to use the skull symbol in my opinion. After ww1 the Wehrwolf for example.

Robin, do you know this Reservisten insignia print?

                            "Reservisten Abzeichen, Auflagen auf Reserve-Flaschen..."

The skull looks like the small kind of skull (made for Imperial Reservisten items).

From the same source! The Prussia and Brunswick cap skull in normal size and then the other kind of skull!!!!

"Militär- und Beamten- Abzeichen mit Klammern..."

A strange title. It sounds like "made for active soldiers"! But the small skull made for active soldiers? Maybe only a confusing title.

What do you think about this kind of skull now?
