WOW..What a cool discovery from a US Veterans families estate today..Here is over 130 Plus German WWI Shoulder boards collected and sewn to this fabric sort of like a patch blanket is done ..Most of them match with several duplicates here ,,Not sure what I have got but thought I would share it here on the WAF for collectors to see . Looks like many, many matching pairs of boards there, including aviation! Likely when this was put together, the boards were going for 15 cents to a quarter a pair.

Was everyone of them cut off the tunics or are some of them complete?

I suspect only the bottom row is folded and none are cut.

Some of those boards are very rare and valuable.

The best thing thing to do would be to keep them all together on the blanket. A real gem of history of the time.

They have survived nearly 100 years. Keep them that way but check out carefully the value of some of them. There is one which I have never ever seen for sale ever and it is very, very rare indeed.

                    Thank you for showing,

                    Chris

YES..I thought it was rather cool just to keep it together as it was discovered ..Does anyone have any idea as to what this might be worth all together ?? what are the best shoulder boards in the group ?? What might they be worth ? Brent

About 1/50th of what they could be sold for seperately. I have bought many carbaord frames with straps put together by vets, kept what I needed, and sold the rest off indivdually Few people what 20 examples of a 5th kürassier regt M15 strap, but a lot of guys want one.
