              Andy,

              You only showed the back side. Can you tell if the number 18 was ever on the front? Since it is dated 1912 and is somewhat faded, one would expect that it would have had a number and that, because of the fading, it would be evident.
              Just curious.

                  Thanks for the try, but that is the same side that you showed at the beginning. With that slit, I am assuming that it is for the back of the helmet. I am wanting to see the front please.
