    World record for Flashlight?

    Gents
I have a soft spot for trench torches. I tried to land this example I,ve never seen before and left a reasonable bid while I was at work. I lost me hook, line, reel and rod and got blown out the water
Did anyone on the forum win it or has one? winning bid $406! Chip, Adler, Chuck, William or anyone seen this pattern before?

I have seen this model before on the German Feldgrau forum. Surprisingly, companies made various models of these lights well into the 1930s. Many gray models were actually only made after the war. The Pertrix company that you see so many patterns of lights from, was only started after the war. Hassia is another one in many collections that was never made before 1919.

But $406!? There must have been two lunatics bidding.

Here the solution for this pocket Tarnschild D.R.P lamp made in Germany by Schneider & Co Frankfurt 1914 -1918 ony used for Army service in the First World War. has a collection price for Europe about 80 – 100 Euro. a different 1914-18 rare modell was the ''Tarnkapp DRP''. collection price 150 Euro for Europe .

          Best Regards from Holland.

Never seen that one before, but $ 406 seems indeed a bit to high...

Pertrix – Hassia - Daimon made many Army flashlight for the Nazi’s but pertrix - Daimon made after the war the almost same Army modell flashlight as War and that is the problem for many start collectors you see this every day on e-bay.

I never looked at those much and never seen that pattern. If you really want something just bid two grand. When you get home you will have won the auction

I was thinking back to my old collection, I must of had at least twenty lights but now I realize 50% were probably post WW1. Very interesting info.
