I think the one at the top in the first picture is Third Reich (Luftwaffe).
Does the shrapnel damaged knife have a maker and Imperial proof? Its unusal for them to make this pattern without bayo function, could be officer private purchase.

Well spotted Eric, The knife at the top is indeed a Luftwaffe marked knife and is my only WW2 example (captured at Monte Cassino)
The shrapnel damaged knife is not imperial proof stamped however it is marked Carl Eickhorn. I think it is a private purchase example.Comment

I sold off my collection because of the tight European regs.
But held on to this Gottlieb Hammesfahr (Solingen-Foche c.1916) because I like the papercloth belt loop (ex. Coombs collection).

Thanks for showing some excellent knives, these knives are getting dificult to source in the UK, ebay used to be a good way of obtaining them but they placed a blanket ban on all knives last year. So now its only through dealers at militaria fairs were you end up paying top dollar unless your good at haggling.Comment

Adler1 your collection is far from small. I wa recently in Ypres(Ipres) and seen a few nice examples in the museums but none for sale. Hill 62 had a good collection.

Puma Knife ?
Has anyone seen one of these before,Its probably WW2, its identical to the Puma knife with the red bakelite grips. This one differs only in the fact that its unmarked and has wooden grips, the grips appear factory made and not just field replacements. The knife is overall quite well used looking. Comments welcome.

Jenko. Your knife does look like a Puma WW2. Maybe its early before bakelite grips?
