    My Garde Ulan Tschapka

    Hi

I would like to show my Tschapka for an enlistet man i 1. or 3. Garde Ulanen regiment.

It is a model M1867 private purchase Tschapka with Fangschnur and Parade Busch.

I want to thank Tony at kaisersbunker.com for his conservation guide, that gave me the courage to give it a much needed cleaning.

    Hope you enjoy the pictures...

Oustanding example. all you need now is a parade rabatte, but God knows where you will find one.

Wow! An an M1867 no less. Good for you! The older the better in my opinion (women and helmets ).

Thanks for all the comments. It has some damage, especialy on the top, but considering it is well over 100 years old I think the condition is very good.

Robb: I don´t have any good before-pictures, sorry...

Tony: Great photos, I wish I could take such nice photos...

nice chapska indeed, but IMO the haarbusch is quite fresh
                        has it been cleaned ?

No I haven´t cleaned the haarbusch, but the photos make it look a little more "fresh" than it really does...
