                  Iam unconvinced still. Why would you think this is a repro. I didnt outbid Scott, I wouldnt do that. I asked him first, he wasnt bidding. As far as I can find out at the moment it originally came from a seller in the vicinity of Verdun (private emails).

                    Robb, Eric & i agreed that he would take over the bidding when the cover got too pricey for me, i dont know much about these on origionality but i like this peice personally, Congrats Eric

                      Interesting that the GEW # is five digits. Serial numbers of GEW 98's and KAR 98's were all four digits, some with one or two letter suffixes.

                          Correct. But the first digit doesnt appear to be a number. At first I thought it was a 3 or even an 8, its not.
