I,ll have a 'dig'. Because of the blue piping and the pink stamp. A modern German Railway Workers cap?

                  ID Bergmutze

I've had one person ID it as Austrian...BUT...no specifics. It is "OLD"...with leather brim/visor. I bought it at a German flea market near Colmar, France (Black Forest area)...for next to nothing...couldn't go wrong.

Rail or post...but surely NOT modern...it's got some usage under the hood..or should I say "brim".

                    ID Bergmutze

I just looked at the following site...where someone is looking for an ID of another cap...and a group picture is posted of soldiers and the soldier on the extreme right appears to be wearing this cap.

It's for sure a Swiss Ord 98 "Quartiermuetze". The blue Kokarde and piping denote Sanitaetstruppen.

Not imperial German, but just as old, and not all that common. Nice find!
