    I don't know if it is original or not. I would bet that even 20 years ago this cover would not have been questioned by anyone if it had been offered. It only shows how far that we have come (or fallen!) with regard to fakes.

        You know Gents this is a great forum and this is a great thread. God I love these things. If I was sat at a sewing table yesterday or 30 yrs ago, why would I spoil all my hard work on this cover with all these stamps? It just doesnt add up. Why not one stamp, say a S64 or a maker and date or better yet no stamps?
        Dont some museums stamp their collectables or mark them?
        Adler, excellent points as allways, but photos 2-4 grab me. 1 corps, originals look like this inside, rough cut when made from this type of cloth.
