Another great pickelhaube.

The 44th Field Artillery Regiment came out of Trier in the Rheinprovinz (today Pflaz). It served from 1914-Sept. 1916 in the German 16th Division and Sept. 1916-Nov 12 1918 in the 214th Infantry Division.

Very nice , perhaps it didnt fit on a 1950's kids head so out went the liner ? . Looks to be a very nice helmet though . Rob
