E Tool Carrier? Opinions

Gents,
A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to win a beaut 1898/1909 MGK marked Infantry shovel with this carrier. I only wanted the shovel being an MG Nut. Its not like the normal carrier, having a full back. Doesnt smell of leather like a repop. Any of you gentlemen seen this pattern before? opinions would be appeciated.

It's a legitimate piece. I have noted other leather items made by this manufacturer.

I've never seen one with a full back either Eric, but this one is an outstanding example. I don't see any red flags here. Excellent find.
