                Ron,
The sword is for the Royal Saxon 2nd Train Battn., Nr. 19, based in Leipzig, and raised only in 1899. Part of the 19th Army Corps.

                  Ron,
I forgot; I believe it's an M57 model sword, and for an nco, not an officer.

                    Bob,

                    Wonderful information and greatly appreciated.

Any idea of the value of this one?

                    Best regards,
                    Ron

                      Ron,
I'm guessing to some extent, as prices for Imperial swords seem to be all over the map. However I don't believe that a train battn. , i.e. a supply unit, is going to be valued as much as the combat arms. This sword appears to be very nice, and has the blued panel, which adds value. I would estimate perhaps $400-500 at most, maybe less.

                      Your photography is outstanding.

I agree, superb photography. Very nice indeed. Below, the two Sachsen Train Battalions, and a marked Train Tschako.

You guys are terrific, and many thanks for this marvelous information.

Will post another sword acquired at the same time for an Artillery unit, and perhaps you will help me there as well.

                          Thanks again!

                          Best regards,
                          RonR
