                  Lighten up Jerry. I may be wrong but I've never seen much from you here then to give thumbs up or thumbs down. And my impression is that you always call them good. Like I say I may be wrong but that's what I have seen.

                  I have to guess Chuck's noticed it too.

                  Jerry, post your WWI helmet collection I assume you own a few?

                      They repro the helmets of this style.... IMO. Especially when its a one picture wonder. Show the rest you claim you dont have, and maybe youll get an answer more aprepo.

                        Yes... "they" repo helmets of all styles. It is a one picture wonder that is 100% "FAKE". Fortunately, for those "not knowing" the seller advertises it as such. And, that is one of two pictures the seller posted. Feel free to comment more often on this site.

                          You are correct, however, this thread is not about "Jerry". I sure a hell didn't post this thread to "bait" him or anyone else, and, I know damn well your comment was not meant to insult him. Are you beginning to see what we've been talking about?

                            Ya Chuck I knew that but,

                            Two points:

                            1. WWI is on the rise and the con artists are going to start coming out of the wood work.

                            2. It's dangerous to talk about depots that had hundreds of helmets drying in the sun at a time when the fakers are going to begin to assult pocket books.

                            I'll also say that all those collectors holding onto un issued helmets are doing a dis service by not showing them, to the whole community and to themselves.

                            Guys have been in this decades and never seen an un issued helmet. Well no wonder, no one wants to show them.
