Trench / bunker matress ?

A friend found that one in an old house - been told thats a matress (to be filled with straw) for bunkers etc?

This is going to be a tough one. I suggest moving this over to the other Imperial section and out of uniforms/headgear.

Certainly possible. I have seen a couple mattresses filled with straw but they were more of a pillow ticking type material. Very tough to ID as Imperial though. My 2 cents. Mike.p
