Its a M17 ET62: Model 1917 steel helmet, produced by Eisenhüttenwerke Thale A.G., Thale /Harz, size 62...
To say more about the painted decal, I think it's nessecary to have a very good close up...

Prussian Guards unit. VERY RARE IF REAL and very much faked. Shell seems to have
a clear coat on it and my gut feeling is that might be a good helmet.

Prussian Guard Helmet

I believe its a size 64.
Gents,
It does,nt add up to me. Allthough the shield is the right size and shape, all the originals I,ve seen have a white border.
Also the shield is to high on the helmet. Remember this is the Prussian Guards.The top of the shield should be level with the bottom of the vent slighly to the rear.
One more point, is there a large painted Regimental Insignia (White) or company number (White or Red) on the back around the rear stud?

I did not catch the lack of a white border. Shield is a little out of place too. I suggest you add in your own white boarder LOL
