Interesting where did you find my helmet? It's on the e stand I am pretty sure I stated it's a bulgarian repaint?

That's also correct. I have it listed in CL near my location and on the e stand. As to the paint it's bulgarian re issue probably in the late 30's. The paint is pretty close to WW1 german field gray but not quite.

I'd say for re enactor use you could go with the finish that is already on it.

Another one. Rust comes through the paint. So not a recent re paint but a re issue for bulgarian army. This helmet has even been discussed here before. It's my first WW1 German helmet and for a few years I thought the paint was vintage WW1.

Here is a Bulgarian Helmet with original re issued liner and chin strap. Same green color on both.
