    Artillery pickelhaube.

What do you think about of this pickelhaube? All parts for 100 percent the original also belong to this pickelhaube. I am am surprised with a back part. It as on a pickelhaube of the officer. An interesting label. Is In 1914 produced felt pickelhaube or not?

First, be aware I am not one of the experts here, so my opinion isn't all that important! It looks like a very nice felt Ersatz helmet. That's about all I can say.

This style is called the ersatz felt kugelhelm. Kugelheim for artillery. It is in good shape I think it takes a Sachesen star or a Bavarian state plate on the front. There is one small chunk out of the rear visor. It also has an officers style front visor metal trim. Hard to say if it was added post war or was issued that way.
All in all it is a respectable example of a hard to find kugelhelm. Iwould try to find the correct front plate for it.

Thanks for the information. I think, the plate was Prussian. On a felt frontal part are visible a trace from a Prussian eagle, and the trace (prints) from a plate of other type is not present. As, on a label it is written that it has been made in Gubene, (it is a city in Prussia).

Several states wore these and there's no problem having a Prussian plate on this helmet. And as you point out R-ugern, the tag inside has the name of a town in Prussia.

ps - in my photo you can see an enlisted man wearing a helmet with a metal strip on his visor.

                      Nice helmet.

I have the same paper label in one of my felt ersatz helmets.

Here's the same label dated 1914 in my black felt artillery helmet. Your helmet is a size 56. My helmet is a size 57 marked on the respective labels. Otherwise the labels are exactly the same. Hope this helps you. I will also add a photo of another felt helmet, a Saxon infantry in green felt. The label in the Saxon green felt helmet is slightly different.

                          Best Regards,

Here's the label in my green felt Saxon helmet. You'll notice that a mouse or rat got hungry for a couple of the leather tounges of the liner!
