25R Pickelhaube

Hello,
have recently found a pickelhaube (mod 1895/97) in a old house near to where i live.
There is one stamp that refers to a regiment : 25R
But is this infanterie regiment 25 or Reserve infanterie regiment 25?
maybe somebody could help me with this?

Hello Enzo,

Normally the letters for Regiment are in front of the numbers in WW1 period Pickelhaube.
Some examples: IR35, RIR35, LIR35 = Infantry Regiment, Reserve Infantry Regiment, Landwehr Infantry Regiment.

There are many types of marks. I do not have a picture of the regiment JR25. So maybe you would consider sending it in? It is probably similar to this

Purhaps you would post the picture. My helmet has what looks like
a 25R mark but it is really faded.
