      Yes, I have enjoyed the hobby for a very long time, and it is a joy to share with others, and hope they will share some of their treasures with us too.

        ron,
        i agree,
        my prized posessions or a set of "home rule1912,uvf armbands".i have alot of tr stuff but these armbands or pretty rare..like you say its all about sharing the items with others.thats whats makes this forum great...still i envy you with your helmet collection.

        p.s whats the weather like out there.its pouring here.....

              This one has a rough finish which is not common for WWI German... can you tell us a little more...

                Wish that I could tell more about it, but unfortunately have never studied or learned the finer points of distinction through the years of accumulation.

                Now there are some reference books which delve into these things, but very few when most were acquired.

                Perhaps one of our more learned members can shed some light.
