"Deutschlands Armee in feldgrauer Kriegs-und Friedens-Uniform"

I have seen this book source for sale. I looks very interesting with a lot of details like uniform buttons, colours etc. of the new field grey uniform in ww1.

Thoughts about the book? Is here a collector who owns this item?

My father owns this book! I can remember seeing it in my grandparents attic. Maybe he knows where it is

This is an excellent reference for the September 1915 regulations. This booklet was reprinted here in the States back in the 1970s by Manion's Auction House. He did a very nice job with the printing and the colors are true to the original. I have a copy and use it frequently either to read the text concerning the ordered changes or to look through the color uniform plates. Of course, the original, is very desirable, but also very costly and seldom seen. If you can find a copy of the reprint, snatch it up!

I have a copy of the 1970's reprint, and it's really quite good. It's still marked with a price of $40; quite a bit back then!

Thanks Charles. Looks like it has been reprinted again. Good to know. And the price is very reasonable. There you go Sarge. Order your copy now!

Is there a page showing Landwehr Cavalry Uniforms? I'm looking for details about devices worn on the Friedensrock officer boards.

                            Charles,

I don't think there is anything. I looked when you first asked about it. I did confirm, however, that the blue underlay for the boards is correct.

Yes, I'm trying to figure out if numbers used to be on the boards or just pips. I see evidence of devises.
