I'm sorry that i don't have photos yet. I need some help to ID the following Imperial tunic..circa 1890.
1. Tunic is dark green (private purchase) single breasted with large fire gilt buttons (eight).
2. Stand collar and Swedish cuffs both (collar and cuffs) with Black facings no litzen and both are red piped as is the tunic front. The red piping may actually be carmine, it is hard to tell for sure.
3.No bottom piping on skirt and the tail is standard 3 buttons down each side of the vent.
4. Original boards not present, so no help there.
5. The main characteristic combination that I am trying to find out about is the dark green single breasted, gilt buttoned, Black swedish cuffed aspects of this tunic. I have found many types similar to this one but with the red collar and cuffs...none so far with black facings on an actuall Swedish style cuff.
I have looked thru Tony's site and all of my references and have not found this combination. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
