I really wanted this one. The Camo is great even if it's another duplicate for my collection. No idea if any of my liners will fit in it yet.

I bid a couple of hundred bucks on it. I've been picking up a ton of Marine stuff lately, and really didn't need another one of these right now. You got a pretty good deal on it though.

Not sure. I think it's going to be seen for what it is and sell for higher then I got. I got fired from my job a week and a half ago tho they asked me to stay till Jan. 30th as they are short handed and conceed I do good work when I do pick it up. I was not getting the computer end fast enough because they want to train me on the job and won't let me drill myself to let it sink in. 20 minutes twice a day is not the way my brain can take things in and remember it.

Lets not bid against each other however. I still don't know if I want one of those in a size 60. My guess is it will for for about 900 to 1,100 dollars unless no one gets a clue. It might sell for 4 or 500. Someone is hot on it because when it was 200 I placed a 300 bid and someone topped me. He must know what it is.

I was on it too, but didn't bid. It went for the price it's worth for imo.

At this time the only helmets I have repro liners in anymore have either been sold, replaced with originals or are refurbs to begin with.

As for chin straps don't fault me for trying. I placed a 400 dollar bid on the last one I went after Ken was selling on ebay and someone paid more for it.

Do you think WWI original chin straps are worth even more then 300? I Don't.
What I do it take the original hardware and put new leather on it. This is a service to history because the reason so much chin strap hardware is lost from the helmets they were issued with is because the chin strap falls apart and sets the losses into motion. New leather will help keep the parts together as they shuld be for future generations to enjoy.
