    Documented Brunswick IR 92., 3rd Bat. EM Pickelhaube

    Here is a pickelhaube that is photographed on pg. 62 of Dr. Eric Johansson's book Pickelhauben.

    I aquired this pickelhaube several years ago.

    I know how rare these are, so I took outdoor & indoor photos.

    The helmet has no extra holes in the helmet body. When I purchased this helmet it did not have a spike, and in the book photograph the spike had been removed...so I have left it as is. I have swapped out the chinstrap because the chinstrap (one in book photograph) was torn and hanging by a thread.

    Other than the liner deterioration, the helmet is in excellent condition.

                            That's a super piece. Thanks for showing it. I am pretty sure that this helmet was the one that confirmed that this regimental plate was made in steel (with feldgrau paint). There was a survey done back in the 1970s or 80s in an effort to identify what front plates were manufactured in the M15 configuration.
