Portepee NCO cap??

A short question! I know the Porteppe NCO's were allowed to wear officer Kokarden. I have a question about a cap with an officer Kokarde (Reich) and a other ranks Kokarde in combination. Was it allowed to wear such combinations and who wore it? Portepee NCO's? Thanks for help!

If you are talking about a wartime cap, just about anything could happen, but this sounds doubtful. Was such a combination regulation? No. Would a Portepee NCO wear and enlisted cockard? What do you think?

If no other Kokarden are availale, I would say yes! I read a ww postcard of a NCO. His family wrote to him, the Kokarden (that he wanted to get) were not to buy! Nowhere!

Well, as I said, anything is possible. But that said, if an NCO had a choice, I think he would choose to wear the proper insignia of his status.

Here is such a cap that I got out of the woodwork! It is a field grey crusher cap (Kokarden lost), black velvet band and on the band only one hole for an other ranks Kokarde. But on the top front are two small holes for an officer Reichskokarde!
