AS much as I like this photo there is something about it that gnaws at me. I don't know whether it's the cut of his hair or perhaps the overall brightness of the image. Was this photo, perhaps, taken during the late twenties or thirties? Might it be a theatrical photo?

What I noticed, is that he is holding a Pelzmütze from 2. Leib-Husaren-Regt. Königin Viktoria von Preußen Nr.2 (white Kolpak) but he is wearing an Attila from Leib-Husaren Regt. Nr.1 (no cypher on the shoulder straps). And that just would never happen.
