      equipment

      Hi
This is a WW1 period colonial ammunition belt as issued to the Schütztruppen in German south west Africa.
If you have access to Anthony Carters book on German belt frogs a partial view and a description is mentioned under item 255. I have never seen one or handled one in all my years of collecting so I would rate this as a rare item .

      congratulations.

Hi Nico, why does the belt have some dark brown and some light brown buttons? Have some of them been replaced? Was this belt still in use recently? Cheers, Torsten.
