    Marcin,

I am not the most knowledgeable here, but the helmet looks original to me. The marking E.R.1 on the back visor means this belonged to Eisenbahn-Regt. Nr.1, which was stationed in Berlin and was part of the Garde-Korps. All Eisenbahn units used the Garde eagle, even those who were not part of the Garde-Korps.

      Hello Mike,

many thanks for your friendly help.
Your way of thinking is right. Now, we have a identified regiment... great!
Let's wait for opinions of helmet collectors.

Yes, of course. I'm very thankful Mike for his opinion... but he wrote: "I am not the most knowledgeable here"
So I've expected only the opinion of the helmet collector.

                Hello
You have a good 1895 pickelhaube with old 1891 rear spine model
It is the same helmet that the Guard fusilier regiment (GFR) and the guard pionier bataillon.(GPB)
                (see this link http://www.kaisersbunker.com/hp/spines.htm)
This helmet wear the Haarbush so, the spike can be unscrewed
Mike have give you well identification for ER1
                Regards
