Tunic Question

The back. I am eager to bid on this so if you know anything let me know. Is a Sa Kepi there its crushed and ruined and a pristine EK1 with the pin and catch removed why do people wreck things. Period German photograph albums with half the pictures missing.

Rob, from the photos it seems to be a pre-war WW1 German blue Uhlan private purchase tunic. Seems also to be an NCO with the tress. Not sure what regiment it could be. The cuffs are a little different with the scallop design but that could just ID the regiment which I am not sure what it is. I hope that helps somewhat. Mike.

Spending Spree

Yes its now mine I went on a spree the auusie dollars is worth nothing so I spent nothing scored some tunics, bayonets, patches, some interesting concentration camp letters, trench art, tank periscope and a document to do with the SAAR plebescite signed on the back by a number of German dignitaries. A large collection was being broken up another vet down and his collection gone sad in a way. The missus wasnt happy she went out as soon as I got home and I remembered the auction receipt was in the car she saw it and now I am in trouble. I have been instructed to sell some to recoup our money by the boss,

when I decide to put it on the estand I will have to take better photographs. It deserves a good home I dont have the room for it and I cant afford to collect Imperial as well though the uniforms from that era are outstanding.
