    what is the signification of "138" and "11/2" on this german helmet, please ?

    132, just a guess but might be a regiment. The 11/2? Never seen that before.

      The "11/2" is in the form of a Reichswehr unit mark. If that is indeed what it is it would indicate 11th company 2nd Regiment. If that is the case I would assume that the "138" is an inventory number for that company.

        yes, it seems it's a reichswehr unit ( 11/2)

          Why specifically Reichswehr, the low Regiment number? This type of unit mark for company/regiment (battalion, etc) was already in use during WW1.

          Here's an example of a WW1 gas mask canister for a member of 3rd company, MG Scharfschuetzen section 55.

            Company Regiment marking on the brass button of a 1915 or 16 dated K98a sling, this time without the company slash.

            The helmet interior looks great by the way. I think it would be interesting if you could post pictures of the exterior to show if this is indeed a Reichswehr helmet or if it's still in it's original WW1 configuration.
