    Real battle damage?

    I am no expert on what is and what is not real battle damage but here is a helmet with what seems to be a real period bullet hole in it.

    The Hole seems a little large for what was being fired but it might be the photos.

    How's this look to any of you with experience in battle damaged lids?

    It is hard to say without a detailed photo. It could be a battle damage, but there are a lot of other possible reasons for a small or big hole in a steel helmet
